Healthy vegetarian meals
We know how important it is for children to have a healthy balanced diet, and therefore provide healthy vegetarian meals and snacks for our children. Fresh water is provided for the children which they are encouraged to help themselves to. Breakfast is a selection of healthy cereal, milk and toast and mid morning snack consists of freshly cut fruit and milk. Hot lunch is prepared daily on site and afternoon tea includes light snacks such as home made sandwiches, pitta with cheese and salad etc. Meal times are used to develop social skills and good manners. All children over the age of two are encouraged to serve their own meals with the supervision and help of a staff member. Both nurseries were given 5 out of 5 during their last food and hygiene inspection.
